Principal Welcome Message
Welcome to St. John Paul II Catholic School!
On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to formally welcome all of our students to St. John Paul II Catholic School for the 2019/2020 school year. We are all very excited for the upcoming school year and hope that you are as well! Teachers and staff have been hastily readying their classrooms and preparing learning spaces for the arrival of our students.
Please be aware that our school bell and block schedule has changed for this school year. Please make note of the new block and bell time. The new schedule has been included in a link near the bottom of this newsletter titled "Bell Schedule." Please click on the button to view the NEW bell times.
For the safety and security of our students, St. John Paul II Catholic School will continue to be a "closed campus" this year. Students WILL NOT be permitted to leave school property on their own at anytime throughout the course of the day. As such, we are continuing to operate our school cafeteria where students can purchase healthy food choices at lunchtime as well as throughout the day.
If plans have changed over the summer and your child(ren) WILL NOT be attending school at St. JPII, please notify the front office immediately. It is imperative that we have an accurate student count so that we can finalize class lists, determine spaces in option courses, and plan activities for the year. We can be reached at 780-992-0889.
Class lists will be posted on the gym walls Tuesday morning. Please feel free to double-check placements for this school year. As there have been some staffing changes that took place over the summer, there may be some changes to your child's "homeroom."
Finally, I wish you all the very best this school year and remember that God's plan for you is great; you just need to listen and pray.
Mr. Robert Stecyk
Principal
