Welcome to St. John Paul II Catholic School

St. JP II has a long standing tradition of excellence in academics and athletics, as well as thriving art and drama programs. Our dedicated staff encourage students to aspire to excellence in spiritual growth, leadership skills and social responsibility. In an environment of mutual respect and tolerance, students and staff carry Christ's message beyond the walls of the school to active citizenship and community involvement.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Our St. John Paul II community will spend February 14th, and 15th focused on Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We will begin with an Ash Wednesday Mass on February 14th in our school gym. All are welcome.

 What is Eucharistic Adoration?

  • Eucharistic adoration is when we spend time in prayer with Jesus in the form of the Blessed Sacrament. The blessed sacrament could be in a Tabernacle or a Monstrance while we are praying.

What is the Blessed Sacrament?

  • Once a host had been Consecrated at Mass, we call it the Blessed Sacrament because it is no longer bread, but is Jesus’ Body. The Blessed Sacrament is placed in the Monstrance which holds the Eucharist up high so everyone can see it.

What do we do during Adoration?

  •  Guided prayer
    •  Time in which you call to mind those who are in need of prayer or people for whom you are grateful for.
  •  Silence with Christ
    •  Relationship is built when we spent time with the other.

We look forward to experiencing first-hand the power and beauty of spending time with the Living Christ in our Chapel.
